Recently we had the wonderful, fun and effervescent Sandika McAuley in our studios to get some personal branding shots for her new business, Lane Cove Aesthetics, located at 16 Birdwood Lane, Lane Cove. Hooray for local!!:)
During our pre-session consultation, we decided that the Ageless Over 40 photo shoot would best suit her needs to create a polished, professional and reliable brand image that would engage her clients. Our professional Hair and Makeup Artist Sharon Leigh did an amazing job giving Sandika a fresh and natural look to bring out her best.

When did you start the business?
I started Lane Cove Aesthetics in August 2022 and wanted to bring my passion for anti-wrinkle injections (Botox and fillers) to the local community. I am a local mum to two beautiful kids. I am a Registered Nurse who specialised in cardiology but now Injectables is my passion and has been for over 10 years. I absolutely love what I do, to the point where work doesn’t feel like work.

I am Fijian Indian, grew up in New Zealand and moved to Australia in 2010. I love to travel and my bucket list destination is Europe. Will get there one day when I can break away from the kids 😝
Why should a potential client consider your business over others?
I’ve been injecting in the cosmetic industry for over 10 years and have a great safety profile. I’ve been trained by the industries leading doctors and nurses and will give you my most honest consultation.
Who might your business appeal to?
Anyone wanting to look fresh, restored and less tired.
What's your price range? Can you give some examples of producst and price for any potential customers?
Price varies to each individual depending on their facial volume loss and strength of muscle movement
What is your usual turnaround time?
Treatment can take anywhere between 30- 60 minutes
How has your experience with your business been so far? Were you nervous or worried before? How did it turn out?
My experience has been excellent. Starting up my new business I was initially worried but I’m overwhelmed by the local support and client referrals.
What are some of the difficult aspects of your job? (e.g. difficult client, keeping up to date with blog/marketing, etc). How did you deal with it?
Marketing can be difficult as clients don’t generally like their before and after pictures used for advertising as it’s such a personal treatment. On the odd occasion client underwhelmed with with their results. I deal with this by making sure I set realistic client expectations.
What would be your advice to someone thinking of engaging your services?

What's the best client/job you've had so far? Can you describe what services your provided, what their feedback was and how it made you feel?
Best job so far is when a client saw her face in the mirror post treatment and started to cry as she was so happy to see her post dermal filler results. Treatment was performed under her eyes for dark circles and under eye bags. It’s something that she said she lived with for years and really affected her confidence to a point where she didn’t want to take photos of herself. Post treatment she said her confidence level Improved dramatically. Reactions like this make me so happy to be doing what I do and this is why I love my job.
