I have a hard time facing the fact that little Baby K is already a whole year old, but you know what 1-year-old birthdays mean? Cake. And smashing cakes, of course!
We had the pleasure of doing the cake smash photos for Baby K’s older sister’s (Baby L) cake smash session a few years ago (you can check it out here!) I love it when families keep coming back to create these amazing memories for their kids!! Baby L is now a preschooler, bright, sassy, full of confidence, really chatty and she says the funniest things!! She has changed so much since her 1st birthday cake smash when she was super shy and was terrified of the cake!!! On the other hand, Baby K is a little more demure, soft spoken but then just came alive for her 1st birthday cake smash photo shoot!!
For Baby K’s photo session, I decided to dig out my pink floral backdrop for a bit of girly fun as well as try out my new darker floral backdrop. The client had no idea what either backdrop looked as the latter one literally just arrived a day before the shoot but I was sooo impressed with how the client’s outfit colours worked with the backdrop! The cake session was so much fun and we got lots of photos!! The parents also mentioned that a must have was both the kids in their matching bumblebee outfits as they were a special gift.
As you can see, Baby K thoroughly enjoyed her cake session and had a blast with her older sis. Who wouldn’t, right??
