In this day and age where we are all burdened with "stuff, stuff and more stuff", these parents purchased a photo session for each of their children for their birthdays so they would have the gift of timeless memories.  I love this idea and have started adopting it for our family also as time with the kids seems oh so fleeting and then they are in childcare, primary school, high school, etc.  These parents didn't just want the USB with digital files, they wanted to display their photos in their home so they can remember these special times often and bring happy smiles to their faces as they come home so this family ordered a few large canvases and prints. I often reminisce on those days when we were kids and our parents had those old albums that anyone in the family could just pick up and flick through and I miss this for my kids also.  As such, this year, I will start a project to go back and pick up where I left off (I think when my son was 2) and commit to doing family albums again that are up to date as so much times slips us by.
