Oh, That’s The One That Took the Biscuit

A friend of mine recently suggested that I enter the Capture Ku-ring-gai Photography Competition.  With only a few hours to the submission deadline, I entered this photo, titled as "Oh, that's the one that took my biscuit".  These three toddler boys were having afternoon tea when they received a surprise visit from a cockatoo!! It was hilarious how quickly the boys became protective of their Anzac cookies whilst still trying to communicate with the cockatoo.

What a surprise when I was awarded 2nd place in the People of Ku-ring-gai category at the awards event on 16 August 2012.  Yay! :)  Plus, I was also in the North Shore Times last week for this.  Double yay! :)

It warms my heart to photograph unscripted moments like these for my family clients as they tend to tell more of a story than the posed shots and always provides more variety and balance when designing family photo wall galleries and albums for my clients which is my favourite thing to do!!! The look I see on their faces when their heirloom quality framed prints are proudly displayed on their walls makes my heart skip a beat!!
